My Idol ...
05.31.05 (3:12 am)   [edit]

Oh my gosh!!!

What a devastating news i received when i heard about the recent 'Golden Horse Award' in Taiwan about Lee Hom...

The incident happened when the presentor Karen Mok presents the 'Best Male Singer'... Her pronounciation is damn chiah lat.....because of her bad pronounciation of huang and wang, it mempers..s..kan my idol...

Here's the story.... The real winner is 'Huang Li Xing'...but maybe because of the tepukan gemuruh of the audience, my idol cannot listen properly to the announcer's voice and thought it was him...wang lee hong....as you can see the similarities between their name, Lee Hom thought it was him and even walked up to the stage and hug Jay Chou...my gosh....that's so so mempersiasuikan....imagine that was you and you're on that stage, what would you feel?

haih...all is because of karen mok's pronunciation....because of her, it makes lee hom 'black head'...

This evening, i went to SS2's Pasar malam with my uni mates and room mate. As usual, after one week of eating the normal stuffs from our hostel which is ... we were like one bunch of hungry ghost going on street searching for F...O...O...D..

I  mean we're really a bunch of hungry ghost...we ended up buying more than our stomache can contain and finished 3 quarter of the food before reaching home...haha...

i ended up having a bit of sore throat cause of eating all those fried foods..greedy me...and my frenz have food enough to last until tomorrow's breakfast.....akaka...

anyway, some good news...my room mate's TV is back here again...so, from tomorrow onwards, i can watch tv in our room without going down to the common room downstairs...hurray!!!

......sad....
05.25.05 (11:47 pm)   [edit]

When i was sitting in the bus on the way back to PJ to study on Monday (23/5/2005), suddenly a sense of sadness overwhelmed me. Maybe i was travelling alone or I am in Penang for too long, I suddenly felt that I need to start everything again....and felt unbelievably sad and don't feel like leaving Penang.

To tell you the truth, that is the first time i had that feeling. All this while, I would be eager to come back to PJ to study, lead my own carefree life and leave Penang behind. Dunno why all of a sudden felt like crying....<sob>....<sob>...

All that has happened in Penang suddenly came flashing through my mind. My family, friends and the time I spent in Altera for training. I truly enjoyed my industrial training especially in the later months when I got used to the environment and are friends with the Hendrixes and SSD's members. I would say that for the first time in my life, I truly missed Penang.

Anyway, after listening to the mp3 in the bus, i felt asleep. When i got back to my hostel in PJ, luckily a group of my friends are already there. We chit-chatted, get each other updated for the 6 months lapse of activities and i felt much better.

Life is always that ironic. You always have to leave the place you grow to love and like. You would also almost always need to say goodbyes to friends when you get used to them and enjoy their company. Well, what do i have to say, we live in an ironic world just like what Alannis Morisate(not sure how to spell her name) said.

Gurney's Parking FRAUD
05.25.05 (10:55 pm)   [edit]

I went to Gurney Plaza on 21-5-2005(sat) with my friend today. We parked our car at Level 6. Unfortunately, my friend who was holding the parking ticket lost the ticket. As we all know that we have to pay a penalty of RM20 for lost ticket, my friend and I decided to go and press the car ticket again on the ground floor.

When we reached ground floor, we saw there was a guard there guarding the place where we press the ticket. So, we kinda just hang around some where near that place and wait for our chance. Suddenly, we heard ‘zit’—the sound of ticket being pressed. So, we decided to take our chance and go and see what happened. We saw there was a ticket on the machine. So, as we have lost the parking ticket, naturally, I go and take the ticket. Instantly, that security guard came from behind us and said ‘Mari, ikut saya’. As I didn’t know what happened and why the hell do we have to follow him, I generally asked why we have to follow you? Do we need to put the parking ticket back? He totally ignored us and asks us to follow him. Being ignorant and curious, we followed him.

My friend and I was in a shock when we where being led to the security room surrounded by I malay supervisor and three more uniform guards generally, this being our first time, we where scared to hell. The first thing they said was… ‘Do you know that you have committed a crime? You have steeled our parking ticket by pressing the button. You need to pay a penalty of RM100.’ So I said I didn’t press the button of the parking ticket, I just took the ticket. They laughed at our face that the ticket won’t come our by itself. So, I said ‘I know this sound funny but I didn’t press the button’. That son of the bitch malay male supervisor then said ‘our security guard saw you pressing the button, don’t bluff us. Our CCTV also can show proof that you have pressed the button. So, admit it and pay us RM100 or we will launch a police report.’ Calmly, I said ‘ok, I clearly know that I didn’t press the button. Come, let’s go and have a look at your CCTV reply and launch the report.’ The whole group of guards and supervisor was taken aback by my answer. They then change their sentence to ‘You didn’t press the button, but you took the ticket. That is a crime. You pay us the fine now or we launch the police report.’

So, we asked ‘do we commit a crime by pressing the button or taking the ticket?’ That motherfarker supervisor then said ‘you steal our ticket by either pressing the button or taking the ticket.’ By this time we were burning mad. They have said two different things and twisted their words. And I would like to add that their attitude was arrogant and rude and disgusting all this while, especially that son of the bitch supervisor. So, my friend asks ‘why you said two different things in such a short while? Are you trying to cheat us out of our money?’ That supervisor just use his super authoritative and rude voice and answered back, ‘you took the parking ticket, that’s an offence and you committed a crime. You pay the RM100 or we call the police now!’ So, a bit scared and don’t want to make the matter big, I ask my friend how much she has cause I have only RM20. We found out that our money is not enough to pay. During this time, that farker supervisor said ‘what are you girls discussing? Pay or we call the police!’ I was damn mad at this point and yelled back ‘you think we are ATM machines?!! Anytime you want RM100 we can give you? Show us the where the ATM machine is. We don’t have enough money.’ So, he asks one of his guard to ‘accompany’ us to the ATM machine to draw out our money.

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   During this time, I kept on thinking …Gurney Plaza is trying to cheat us customers out of lost parking ticket money. They just put there you are subjected to a RM20 fine for lost ticket. They didn’t state that you are considered a thief by taking a new parking ticket or pressing the button to take ticket and would be fine RM100 for it.

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   So, when we went back to the security room. After paying and receiving the receipt, I ask ‘is there any complain form, or suggestion form or can I see the management?’ They were slightly taken aback again. They said the management has gone back by this time and there were no form for us to fill in. I was burning mad and said ‘what kind of big company is this without having a simple customer service form?’ That shit-ty malay supervisor again argued lots of stuff with us in a very rude manner. And we were sort of quarelling with him in a heated argument.

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   Suddenly, from behind the desk, there was a Chinese man( I think he is the manager,  a Mr Lee) said softly ‘yes, is there anything that I can help you?’ Shit!! I mean didn’t you just heard what we were arguing about just now? So, I said ‘I would like to make a suggestion to the top management that they should write a clause when we take the ticket that we will be fined RM100 by Gurney Plaza if we were to take the parking ticket without a vehicle present. Else, it would be like they want to cheat us out of us consumers’ money.’ He then said, ‘if you went into a shop and stole something, would the shop write shop lifters would be fined RM500 for stealing? That’s absurd.’ He then told us a long story about lost ferry ticket which is very long. His point here is to make it clear that Gurney did nothing wrong by not providing this information to the public. What bull-shit is this?

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   So, I ask him ‘how the hell do we know that by taking that ticket, we are considered as stealing?’ He then explained that anything that is of value to the company and taken without authorization or permission is considered stealing. He then continue to show us all the CCTVs he has in the security room and explained that the guards have to pay RM20 per ticket from their own pocket money if they didn’t catch the ‘thief’. He then showed us some of the launched police report of some guy who use screw driver to open up the bar that stops car from moving out of Gurney. I shoot back that ‘that was a totally different offence.’ He said ‘Yes that is why they fined him RM1000 for the damage or report it as a court case.’ He then said that he understand how we feel blah…blah...blah… and hope we understand their situation also. As this guy’s attitude is much nicer and polite and we have been standing for almost 2 hours now, my friend and I just let it go and didn’t have the strength to continue arguing. As we receive a receipt for this, so, I think it’s not like the security guards are cheating our money

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   But then I was still boiling mad and want to write this out to let consumers know about this. I would like to stress that I don’t like the attitude of that son of the bitch motherfarker malay supervisor one bit. His attitude was damn rude and impolite. Fuck him! But the manager, Mr Lee is much nicer and more professional by taking the trouble to explain all this nicely to us ignorant girls.

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   Lastly, people, I would like to say that I still think Gurney plaza is still trying to cheat us out of our parking ticket to survive their maintenance fee by not informing us before hand that we will be considered a thief by taking the parking ticket and would be fined RM100. Think of how much they would be earning with a ticket of 8 cents (told by Mr Lee that their cost for one parking ticket is 8 cents). So, people make your own judgment of who is right or wrong here. I admit that we are wrong partly also by being ignorant. I still think that they are wrong by not informing the public of this offence.

& nbsp;   &n bsp;   So, people, please don’t loose your parking ticket while you are shopping. Or you have lost it, pay the RM20. Don’t be like us. And one more thing, be careful of what you are doing in Gurney Plaza, as they didn’t save cost on the security cameras…they installed some 20 cameras alone in the parking area, the place where you take the ticket and pay the money. So, be extremely careful of what you’re doing…you’re being watched… fuck gurney plaza!!!
